About the Role

Passionate about food and ambitious to grow within a great team. House of Boateng is currently seeking a full-time Chef de Partie to join our incredible team.

Responsibilities:

• Review daily tasks with Executive Sous Chef or Executive Chef
• Adhere to recipes and specifications to ensure consistency, quality and timeliness of all dishes and products
• Ensure work station as well as overall kitchen is clean and organized at all times
• Responsible for opening and closing procedures in accordance to operation standards
• Ability to lead junior cooks and train as required
• Ensure food waste is minimized through proper processes and procedures as set out by Chef Castro.
Maintain proper rotation, labeling, and storing of food in order to reduce food cost and maximize usage potential
• Ensures that all food products are handled, stored, prepared and served safely in accordance with House of Boateng and government Food Safety guidelines.

Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years of prior restaurant cooking experience 

  • Prior breakfast cook experience an asset

  • Ability to lead and assist in training junior cooks

  • Flexible schedule

  • Attention to detail

  • Food Safe Certification

  • Intermediate to advanced knife skills
